The Dachsteinalm-Gjaidalm (mountain hut situated in on a high mountain pasture) is situated within the UNESCO Dachstein World Heritage region. There are numerous hikes and trails which can be accessed from the hut. The length and difficulty of the trails vary. Options include Dachsteinblick, Krippenstein. Heilbronnerkreuz, Taubenkogel and Hoher Gjaidstein. The Simonyhuette (“Simony Hut”) is also accessible to hikers from the Gjaidalm. Mountain huts offer accommodation and refreshments in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
