The Dachstein Mammoth Cave in the Salzkammergut

The Dachstein Mammoth Cave in the Salzkammergut
Walking time approx. 75 min.

The entrance to the massive Mammut cave is in the immediate vicinity of the ice cave.

You start your journey at the Schönbergalm cable car station. From there, a theme path takes you back to the past and you can find out the entire history of the formation of the Dachstein.

Finally, you reach the entrance to the Mammut cave. The impressive guided tour through the Mammut cave takes approximately one hour.

We would also like to invite you to participate in a guided adventure tour to explore this massive cave off the beaten track - you will be guided by a specially-trained member of the team.
