The Salzkammerweg Hiking Path, 45 km over three to five stages

Not only does the Salzkammerweg take you through a fantastic landscape: it also takes you past numerous places emitting an aura of history from them.

Step by step, hike through long-gone centuries and millenniums, from one highlight to the next.
The circular path - as educational as it is varied - is suitable for the entire family and can easily be covered in about three days. You can choose to cover individual stages only by means of train, bus or ship.

The route mainly covers shaded forest paths and easy rambling paths. Please see the separate brochure for comprehensive information on the individual stages of the “Salzkammerweg” and its high points.

This guidebook - published by the Kompass publishing house - is an indispensable guide for all theme paths you can find in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt-Dachstein-Salzkammergut.
