DACHSTEIN WINTER WORLD OF HIKING

Pure winter sports pleasure away from the “normal” pistes! The Inner
Salzkammergut and the Dachstein offer a great deal of snow cover for
extensive skiing and snow-shoe tours. A charming landscape, it offers safe fun for beginners and professionals alike. The various landscapes in the Dachstein area present themselves in a wildly romantic winter guise. In the company of an authorised skiing guide,
enjoy the descent from the Krippenstein, the snow-shoe hike through the forests, the Dachstein crossing (from 7 days) and much more.

How to make the most fun out of winter hikes:
• Welcome by your host with an original hiking mug, tour information and information about the map
• Day trips including snack, cable car to the Krippenstein, snow-shoe hike (no equipment included)
• 7 days: plus visit to Schladming-Ramsau (Dachstein south wall cable car)

ITINERARY, DAY 1:

Krippenstein-Gjaidalm
You take the cable car to the Krippenstein, and make your first descent to the Gjaidalm. There, you will find the base for great tours of various levels of exertion. The certified skiing guide selects the routes according to your ability. This area is particularly suitable for beginners and those getting back into skiing after a while. On fur-covered tour skis, a great route to
take is that via the Wiesberghaus into the Echerntal to Hallstatt, for example.

ITINERARY, DAY 2:

Snow-shoe forest tour
This is an expedition through wild, romantic, snow-bound forests. The
skilled trainer is au fait with the loveliest spots in the region, and
accompanies you on snow-shoes to ensure your safe arrival.

Extended itinerary (7-day package deal):
Bad Goisern legend path: a fairy-tale snow-shoe hike.
The guided tour informs you about one of the many regional legends.
Crossing the Dachstein forms the crowning glory of the Winter World of
Hiking. The bus takes you to Schladming/Ramsau. Enjoy the descent with
the Dachstein south wall cable car as far as Schladming glacier. The descent
takes you down as far as Obertraun!

4 or 7 nights’ accommodation with breakfast buffet or half-board or in the
